Feeling Blue...

Hey it's not even Christmas yet and the lights are on clearance at some stores.  Time to take advantage of the savings and start on next years expansion. I picked up 2100 new blue LED lights.

Now what to do with them....

Aerosmith in concert

This past weekend Nicole and I went to see Aerosmith and Cheap Trick in concert. The story is that Aerosmith came to Wichita in 2002 and I did not take Nicole and ever since she has whined and cried that I WOULD take her if they ever came to town again. We did skip a show about 5 years ago because it was in the middle of the week but when it was announced they would be here on a weekend I was on the hook again. We had fun and enjoyed a really good show from great seats.

Cheap Trick opened for Aerosmith with a hour long set of all their hits.

It's finally over...
   No more mailers... 
      no more phone calls... 
         no more TV ads... 
            Election Day 2012 will soon be over...
               Bad news is, 
                  Campaign 2016 starts tomorrow...
                     UGH.... 

BOO HOO....

The post holiday blues have set in. But on the bright side it's only 332 days till October 1st and I can bring the darkness to life again................

Ceiling Detail

Watching HGTV and DIY networks can be inspiring sometimes. After seeing a ceiling detail added in a kitchen it inspired us to do the same thing in the dining room, and it covered a crack in the sheetrock....
It adds a depth to the room and draws the eye when you see it.

After not being able to find the wood I wanted to do the job I had to rip and mill some down the the dimensions that I needed.

Glued and nailed to the ceiling it took shape just as we had seen on the TV show.

A little bit of caulking and primer and paint and a nice feature at a low cost is ours.

Halloween 2012 has come and, sadly, gone.....

Time to start hanging Christmas lights.... You laugh, I'm serious, I get them up when it's half way warm...
